Dr.Condoleezza Rice should go back to teaching. This is what made her famous, to start with.
Or maybe to playing the piano, and practicing her French. This is what I remember most about her when she went into the political arena. So far, she had no other accomplishment, despite having many opportunities.

And the current crisis in the middle east was one of them; which she missed again.
It took a US representative 2 weeks of ferocious fighting to visit the area. Only to come up with statements to allow and legtimize more killing and more destruction.
I will not comment on Bush's statements. Some things are just too obvious. Some things are just not expected from someone like him.

When people are in power, when a nation is able to make a difference, but fails, this failure counts as double and triple.

When the UN is calling on the world to send food and money for refugees on urgent basis, the US is sending new weapons to Israel, on urgent basis as well. and Blair, reduced to the role of confirming and adopting any US stance on the situation in the middle east is not better.
It is unfortunate to see people with power fail to step up and make a positive difference in the world.

and we pay for their ignorance.

We should have understood a long time ago, not to depend on anyone except ourselves. history repeating itself.

And we pay for our mistakes.
