I want to be selfish for once. This space is about me. I can talk and think, uninterrupted. Might be of relevance... or maybe not.

Dormant syrian unit

Name: Michel Sleiman

He was nominated during the peak of Syrian influence, in 1998.

He was appointed by a Syrian puppet, called Lahoud.

He holds the Syrian Order of Merit, grade of excellence (check Lebanese army website)
Ironically, him and Lahoud belong to the same school that produced people such as Michel (again) Aoun.

A week ago he complained that the army did not get enough military support. Yesterday, after meeting with members of American congress, he thanked the US for all its help. I get confused, 2 opposing messages in one week?

Patriarch Sfeir did not notice that amendments never worked before, but he would ok it if it were to save the country?

Now, didn't we get it the first time with Aoun?
Didn't we get it the second time, with Lahoud?
Now Sleiman?

Amendments, army generals and presidents don't mix. Don't try this at home.
