Fisk is making me Sick

Robert Fisk: Eight dead, and echoes of Beirut's bloody history reverberate around its streets

Mr.Fisk, is again hitting us with another one of his propaganda, full of lies, and obviously skewed and cliché pieces. He is starting to sound like someone who has been living in Lebanon for a long time; and this is making him less of an objective journalist.

Needless to say, he is very knowledgeable about Lebanese politics, and is very eloquent. It is a deadly combination, but that stops there.

Like every one else, we are all concerned that we are at the verge of a civil war. However, making early (and apparently wrong) assumptions, or even insinuating that "Christian snipers east of Mar Mikael?...in the darkness around the Maronite church" is the kind of propaganda that can ignite a civil war.
And then saying that "there were hundreds of civilians on the streets around Mar Mikael – Christians and Muslims alike – carrying weapons" is wrong. Thanks to technology, television is bringing images from the street to your bedroom. This is false propaganda. This does not mean that some chrisitan fractions don't have weapons; I am sure some do, but at least it is not being used. Over the last couple of years, it was very clear to everyone that only certain fractions, namely hizballa and Amal, were the ones who had no problem showing off their weapons. They did so on numerous occasions: Nasralla speech, funerals, fights.

He needs to go on vacation.

Really???Don't you think that he was just saying the truth and that there are outside conflicts that are being reflected in lebanon? And that all the series of events that are happening in Lebanon are to destabilize it and to cause chaos ultimitely leading to civil war.I really think he was trying to open the eyes of people that the problem is much bigger than me and you...he was not pointing fingers and saying who started what..
It is just scary all the things that are happening........and yes it is still unclear who killed these people.

It does not take a Fisk to acknowledge that the series of events are aimed at destabilizing Lebanon.
It does not take a Fisk to say that our problems are rooted outside. Any lame person, should know that by now.
I am saying that his blind accusations, even before any kind of investigation started, was biased and unjustified. Accusing openly, like he did in his article, certain Christian fractions of shooting at those rioters is the kind of propaganda that is must hurtful for the country at this stage.
