I want to be selfish for once. This space is about me. I can talk and think, uninterrupted. Might be of relevance... or maybe not.

DeBakey, and yes it is about aortic dissections.

"In late afternoon last Dec. 31, Dr. Michael E. DeBakey, then 97, was alone at home in Houston in his study preparing a lecture when a sharp pain ripped through his upper chest and between his shoulder blades, then moved into his neck."

From Lebanese immigrants, Debakey (pronounced Dabaghi) is renown for many procedures and contributions to the world of cardiothoracic surgery. Ironically, he pioneered surgical treatment and classification of aortic dissection. and he suffered from one himself.

La suite is here!
